Getting To Know Your Brain

***z-headeradsense.shtml***

computer brainHarnessing the power of the LOA is a matter of controlling the communication between two distinctly different parts of your mind; the conscious and the unconscious. So before we get into "Ask , Believe, Receive" I'm going to provide you with some information that will make the task of taking charge of the most powerful super-computer in the known Universe a bit easier.

What is the "mind"?

I shall not today attempt further to define (hard-core pornography). But I know it when I see it…
--US Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart

That statement has emerged to take on the status of colloquialism and in my opinion can be used when trying to define the (human) mind. Even dictionary attempts are obscure and insufficient, i.e.:

2. Psychology: the totality of consciousness and unconscious mental process and activities.
3. …intellect or understanding, as distinguished from the faculties of feeling and willing; intelligence.

humanbrainHuh? You don't need to understand the definition of "mind" to know what it is and how to make it work in your favor. But we do know that it is a function of the brain, and here are a few interesting fact about that amazing (and definable)  7 pounds of meat that controls every single one of the billions of processes required to make the machine called "you" function properly.

1. "…even though the brain is very efficient, it's an energy hog. It is only 3 per cent of the body's weight, but consumes 1/6 (17 per cent) of the body's total energy. Most of its energy costs go into maintenance; the added cost of thinking hard is barely noticeable."

2. If you butted the brain's blood vessels end to end they would circle the equator 4 times; that's over 100,000 miles.

3. How many possible neural connections can the brain make? Enough that it would take you 75 years to write out all the zeros. That potential is available to you every second of every day.

4. "…there is no organ in your body that receives better or more elaborate care. The brain consumes 20 percent of the air you breathe, 25 percent of your total blood flow, 30 percent of the water you consume and 40 percent of all the nutrients drawn from your bloodstream."
    --John Assaraf, "The Answer"

know your brainThat's a pretty impressive, albeit high-maintenance mind container, don't you think? Makes me curious about what lies behind those gilded doors. So whadda' you say we knock on the door and take a peek at what's inside; "Oh doorman, we're waiting!"
